Pros
Autofocus is outstanding, and stabilisation is effective. Nd filter is a welcome addition (this is basically sunglasses for your camera) but not strong enough in bright sunlight to mean i still don’t have to close the aperture a bit.
Sony gp-vpt2bt comes with a grip/tripod as an optional extra. The tripod is bluetooth connected helps when taking videos or selfies. The built in mic really is very very good.
This is a vlogging camera, being aimed squarely at the video market, and video bloggers in particular. Great for vlogging as it twists right round so you can see yourself.
Cons
First problem is no usb charging while it's running so it can only record for about 45min before battery is low or dead. Hugely disappointed. Sent it back as instructed via an amazon drop off locker.

Larger microphones can be accommodated, but cost extra as an option.

You have to change configurations if you need to record over 50 minutes because it got hot and turn off

Only it really low light does it start to struggle but even then the quality of video recorded is little short of remarkable

At this time only sonys own slightly cumbersome imaging edge software recognises these but that will be a temporary issue as so many have been soldwith the software i have the rx100v seems to inexplicably do better at stills

The bluetooth handgrip is useful and probably worth getting at the reduced price offer in reality carrying that small as it is negates the benefit of having such a tiny discrete camera which can produce such outstanding results
