The tv easily adjusts to light differences and doesnt require total darkness to look fabulous a sunny afternoon with the blinds drawn doesnt hurt the picture much and thats saying a lot for a projector in this price range

We had a large scare 5 months into using it the picture started dimming to the point of black something popped loudly inside the projector clearly the lamp and it stopped working

Sonys tech support even under warranty was awful and had no recommendations besides sending it in for a 500 repair no thanks

We have blackout shades in our media room and in that environment whether watching hdtv or blu ray on the unit is nothing short of phenominal on a 100 screen

On nonhdtv channels the picture on 100 is still good and very watchable but suffers only from expanding a nonhdtv content onto 100

Far better than any dlp projector since their is no rainbow effect and once you see the dlp rainbow you will see this in every show
