Folded and encased headset are of a larger diameter than my old bose units. The padding on the ear cups and headband is plush and comfortable. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit for different head sizes.

Noise cancelling is great so that i can listen to audiobooks walking alongside a busy motorway or on the train. Charge lasts a very long time, case is great. My son uses them on the playstation and music they can be hard wired or wireless.
The noise cancelling is amazing. The only thing that may bug some people is the noise canceling sounds slightly tinny.
Cons
Honesty is sometimes the way of fools. Sound quality is not worth the 'xtra' (ha ha, not! No capability of equalisation by way of any apps as this model isn’t supported.

The sound quality is amazing, crisp and clear and also easy to adjust using the app.
Competitiveness
Considering its price/quality ratio it is also very reasonably priced.
Not quite up there with my 100abns but they cost over twice these 5yrs ago.
After a brief flirtation with another brand, i decided on sony again after my mdr-100abns started showing their age after over 5yrs.

Otb profiles are pretty standard with reasonable clarity but too bassheavy imo but with some tweaking in the headphone app i managed to set a satisfactory profile to my preferences

Yes there are much better headphones on the market but they also come with a much higher price tag and sometimes that level of purchase for daily driver headphones may not be as justifiable for everyone
