Pros

The focusing abilities of this camera are top-notch. Active image stabilization is top notch and combined with a small cheap gimbal “outdoors’. The fact that sony was able to build eye-tracking into such a small package is astounding.

The camera is very compact. This camera packs a punch in its compact size. All of this fits into a small case making it ultra-portable.

The zv-1 has an articulating lcd screen that folds out. The flip up lcd screen is a great touch. The portability and flip around screen make this camera perfect for vloggers.

Cons

The image stabilization is digital so it crops your image. On the highest setting it is smooth, but cropped. It is way worse in low light, and the image has a horibble green hue. The zoom is really terrible.

Price

So i’m still trying this camera and i think it’s a very good deal since the price is not that high.

Shipping

The shipping box is dented but fortunately the camera still works.

Lastly, this camera was shipped in its box inside a shipping box without any packing material.

Packaging/appearance

I bought it used-acceptable from amazon and to me, it came pristine, just missing original packaging.

I never buy used electronics especially without the original packaging but i decided to take a chance in order to save any amount of money.

Competitiveness

Take this as a newb's take on getting into this space for the first time.

I have been using it for an on the go camera for b roll footage and using it on the new zhiyun crane m3, which it pairs very nicely on.

However, big sur os is not compatible with sony's imaging edge software.
