Cut on bottom side so not too scuff up patterned side. But they are a static fixture under my mattress, so all good.

Cons

The only reason i didn't put these sorbus mats directly in the trash is because i'm sending them back for a refund. Will not buy again. Very frustrating. This is junk do not buy!

The edges of the mats curl up which makes them dangerous in that people can trip over them. The beige sides of the end pieces make the mat look tacky. The light color looks like a cartoon rendition of a wood floor.

The flooring itself is extremely soft and fragile to anything with weight. I have the simple get hard foam puzzle mat pieces downstairs in my basement and was expecting similar quality from these.
