I bought this short as my first ever biking shorts so nothing to compare withthe material is good and the pads are pretty comfortable on long ride black colour looks nice too the only problem i found with it that its a little short if you are a tall guy it will be be short as it will cover to the middle of the thigh and the sizing seemed little off to me i should went with medium as it was not really accurate im 31 waist and about 165 lbs
