Unfortunately, the caveat for this is that it made these $300 (now nearly $600) headphones feel a bit "cheap", due to the lack of heft.
If you've got the $20 to spare, i'd definitely recommend at the very least giving them a try!
I wasnt expecting much other than an inexpensive replacement, but the cups are very comfortable and deep.

Competitiveness
It goes without saying that there’s a huge difference in build quality between brands and these are much much better built than those.
Sadly, sennheiser doesn't sell replacement parts directly anymore and they've farmed out their warranty work to a third party.
I couldn't help but notice these more pricey alternatives, but jumped the gun after seeing so many positive reviews.

My previous ones were dakoni ear pads and before that it was the stock ear pads from sennheiser

I also tend to overheat and these get warm fast which is nice in winter but will probably be unpleasant in summer for extended sessions
