Highlights
Quality
Pretty easy to replace, comfortable, and not flaking

Unfortunately, the caveat for this is that it made these $300 (now nearly $600) headphones feel a bit "cheap", due to the lack of heft.
If you've got the $20 to spare, i'd definitely recommend at the very least giving them a try!

Shipping
Delivered quickly and were easy to install.
These arrived quickly and in quality packaging.
Packaging/appearance
Love the look of the ivory with the subtle black trim too.
Competitiveness
It goes without saying that there’s a huge difference in build quality between brands and these are much much better built than those.
It is even nicer when those "back-ups" are as good as the originals.
Sadly, sennheiser doesn't sell replacement parts directly anymore and they've farmed out their warranty work to a third party.
I couldn't help but notice these more pricey alternatives, but jumped the gun after seeing so many positive reviews.
