Ear pads are a bit firmer but softer compared to originals. Product seems to be a little more padded than the original bose pads. Replacement ear cushions provide more comfort for a longer period of use.

I have nearly 5-year old nc 700 bose headphones and was lazy about swapping out the very, very worn factory ear pads.
The earpads were worn out, foam was exposed and they were no longer cancelling out noise very well.

The price is incredible and the sound is perfect.
