Competitiveness

They are also handy to check audio mixes without having to worry about boosted bass frequencies as per a lot of in-ear headphones.

Had a pair of e10s a few years ago but lost them.

These have a smoother less metalic sounding upper mids although bass isn't as extended.

I've had two pairs of soundmagic headphones before these.
