I dont get as good range only about 15 feet before the sound starts breaking up and 20 feet or so until signal is lost as i do with my sony over the ear headphones

You have to use the correct size silicone ear gels the bud part that actually goes into your ear canal

Too small and they will leak pressure causing the bass to suffer

The additional ear wings look strange but if you orient them properly for your ear you should be able to get that wing to sit just inside the fold of your ear
