Pros
This is a good book if you are just started to explore sou vide or have done some basic sou vide cooking. The book also explains a lot of mysteries behind sous vide with practical advise.
Making a custard is time consuming and full of potential pitfalls. Shrimp is another food that can be easily overcooked, but the recipe here results in perfect texture. Has all the basics like chicken breasts, pork tenderloin, pulled pork.

Atk cookbook is for the home chef who loves to cook and wants to take things up a notch beyond the typical everyday cookbook. A proper understanding of the less glamorous aspects allows more experimentation.
Cons
This cookbook is completely uninspired for recipes. One of the best things you can make with your sous vide is bacon, and they don't even address that in this book. The layout and wording is a disappointment.

Quality
The equipment recommended worked out well and i’ve gotten perfect results every time.
It has easy-to-follow instructions, good pictures, and lots of details.
They don't just give a recommended temperature for each sous vide cook, they explain how they chose that temperature.
I am an experienced home cook (even took classes at a culinary academy a few years back), but had never cooked using the sous vide method.
Price
I got an excellent sous vide cookbook for $20 through amazon, something i would have wanted anyway.
I purchased the black anddecker sous vide and slow cooker from amazon ($65.
This vendor did not supply the cookbook but i saved at least $20 and as much as $50 by buying from this vendor.
And instead of spending $400 for a "professional" machine, you can get good results for a fraction of the cost.

Service was fast, i'm very happy with the whole transaction.
Packaging/appearance
I received an immersion circulator as a gift but was a little unsure how to make lots of things with it.

There are some charts that are helpful but most of the recipes are too fancy for everyday cooks and there isnt a reference 34section34

The steak chart is helpful the egg chart is mostly helpful the chicken chart is a joke

If you know absolutely nothing and you need guidance on how to set everything up from scratch this book is ok
