If you tighten the grip too much then you wont be able to get your laptop in or out of the stand very easily

The only real issue is trying to hold the stand on the laptop while turning the set screws and centering at the same time

With this being an adjustable stand it takes a little fiddling to get it set for just the right width for your laptop
