Pros & Cons
Pros
Capacity is alot, we use a 40 gallon trash liner which is a little too big. Put my portable potty inside as well as a bag of pine shavings toilet paper.
Everything seems sturdily made. The webbing is either polyester or nylon and hasn't degraded like cheapo polypropylene.
Straps and buckles work well. One other reviewer here reports having trouble mounting his securely, but i don't see how. To get it secure, i usually loosen the straps and adjust once on. There is a tie-in strap at the top of the pack.
The bag fits my 38 inch spare with plenty of room to go. It has more mounting options and can fit more trash. My sxs has little to no room for storage this tire mounted bag was the perfect size.
For off-roading, camping or tail-gating. The way i have been using this is to carry my heavier gear that i use for cooking & sleeping, etc. Comes with a separate bag - probably use more like a duffle bag, rather than a spare trash can.
Cons
Poorly constructed. Cheap chinese buckles allow the straps to slip under load. Bad quality of the strap.
Highlights
Quality
It’s really hard to beat this spare tire bag for the price of everything you get and the quality of it.
The value for the quality is the biggest benefit of all.
I didn’t want a cheap quality one that would fall apart either.
This is a common issue with the yj/tj.
Price
This alone is worth the price of admission.
Packaging/appearance
And no drain holes in the bottom.
Which i personally would not carry in the pack … at least not in the outside mesh pockets.
It's got 2 drain holes in the bottom.
Competitiveness
Size - this is probably 20% larger than the trasharoo, a perfect match for my 35 spare tire4, longer straps make it easier to i... Read More
Robust material and construction, good storage space, looks and feels great, i have not tested its waterproofness.
3 mesh pockets at the bottom, and lots of tie-down points.
Not as well made as some higher priced, but not something i am using daily either.
