The life changing magic of tidying up by marie kondo is an illustrated guide to organizing your home. The book includes tips on how to get rid of unnecessary item's and how to organize your closet.

Simple and straightforward. Doing a purge by category and in one big shot is very effective. With those questions answered, it becomes an efficient and straight-forward process.

Controlling clutter is not infinitely interesting. A bit too simplistic. Total rip off waste of time and money.

This type of imbalanced advice imbues the entire book. Marie kondo is trying to appeal to her critics who argue that her advice in her first book is severe and too minimalistic.

Some of her advice is just silly--such as shredding or tossing all paper. Her routine of solemnly kneeling on the floor and reverently communing with the house gets old quickly.
