Pros & Cons
Pros
Spiced is more than a cookbook, though. The book also has recipes for spice blends and basic information about how to use individual spices. Spiced offers an invitation to vary your repertoire in cooking.
Using new-to-you spices can enliven your cooking – get out of a rut. They give instructions on making za’atar, a marvelous spice blend, with thyme and do not mention hyssop.
Apart from the text, the book is well-sized for actual use (pictured in adult male hand) there's a good index, and the fonts used in the book are very readable. The book is adjustable.
This book is a keeper. Well written and easy to understand. Really enjoy cooking the recipes in this book. It is a winner.
On the make next list for me are the hungarian stew, almond biscotti, molasses cookies, and ginger-turmeric frozen yogurt. Lyle's golden syrup is one thing so far that i can't find in my local market.
