It would be best if you observed approximately a 2millimetre gap between the edge of the screen protector and the rubber gasketbezel of the macbook screen

The protector is not designed to fit exactly snugly to the edge of the screen

If you try to do this you will find that at least some part the protectors black bezel will encroach onto the visible area of the screen
