Like others have said the back is very slippery and the sides offer minimal grip

Biggest gripe i have about the carbon fiber cases is that they are not textured which leaves them to be greasy oily finger magnets when the light hits the case right i have ocd so it super annoying to see oily finger marks all over my cases

Some cases are texted a bit on back or even frosted and hide that but most of these carbon fiber ones show it bad

Also there isnt much grip at all on the sides the case is very well made and solid buttons are nice metal accents etc
