This is the best cases for ipads period had the same for the air 1 and now for the air 2 the quality and level of protection is fantastic also the case do not add too much weight to the device never had an issue charging apple pencil with those cases just position the pencil correctly and you are done and the fact that this case dont have those horrible pencil slots like the new models if you use the ipad without the pencil much better to hold shame that for the ipad pros they now have that horrible 34 coffin34 slot for apple pencil that leaves a huge gap and side area unprotected on the ipads
