So my daughter is 60 pounds shes 5 years old shes big for her age but i had to get her the extra large because again like i said she is a big child but these also run on the big side the thing about it is i got the extra largest because if i would have gotten the largest for her they would have fit perfectly until i wash them unfortunately when you wash this tub material its shrinks i again my daughter would have fit in the largest perfectly but again i would have washed them and they would have shrunk and then they wouldnt have fit her so i got her the extra largest cause as soon as i wash them they shrink down to the perfect size for her so so just an fyi to be mindful of that when you order them i recommend whatever the size of your child is to order them one size bigger just so that way when you do wash them as soon as you get them you avoid now having them not fit especially having to return and all that stuff is a pain in the button now i am extremely grateful for the tribe before you buy that made all the difference in the the world and again thats why i got her the extra large because she is a large butt a large but i got her the mediums not knowing that they would be so small again her size is actually large but again like i said when you wash them they will shrink so just be mindful of that when you order them i highly recommend you ordering one size up from whatever size your child is if they have it because as soon as you wash them they will shrink down the size but they are fantastic great material super cute my daughter loves them to death and the tribe before you buy made every difference in the world the fact that i was able to try them on before i bought them the 1st time made it a hell of a lot easier than having to purchase them and then now they dont fit send them back get a refund all that stuff i greatly appreciate doing the tribe before you buy when it comes to clothes especially with children cause again this would have been a much harder situation if this would have been regular clothes but the normal way and not doing it the tribe before you buy it was such an easy thing to do they send you a return label with the stuff just in case it doesnt fit you can return it back in the same bag that it comes in it was just an extremely easy nice experience like i said even though the 1st ones didnt fit her and they shrink its okand they shrink its ok because again it was easier to return them and get a different size for her so just fyi be mindful of that

I had to return the first ones because the waist was too small and the elastic in the waist is tight and hard to stretch

They do run small though so i suggest sizing up
