Pros

Installation is very simple requiring a metric allen wrench, a needle-nosed pliers and small metric wrench to tighten the cable. Easy to install and worked on my mongoose bike.

Works fantastic and it ended up fixing two bikes. These are very inexpensive but every excellent replacements. This pair of shifters is a bargain.

Looks nice, easy to install, and makes shifting better than other shifting controls.

While i wish that the mechanism were a bit more robust, the actual installation and fine tuning were quite simple.

You will need a good set of clippers to cut the excess cable.

Price

The ones i purchased cost about $10, money well spent to complete the job properly.

Should have ordered the derailleur also (bit more damage/age then expected, ah well, probably would have saved a little on shipping).
