Pros

It actually has about seven or eight. The sram is probobly bullet`proof.

Easy to install and easy fix for shifter/cable problems. Makes the job simple if you have the right allen wrench. Inexpensive and went on fine.

Bought item to replace a broken left shifter on a mongoose bike. Fits my shimano derailleur great. I'm 83 yrs and not a bike repair expert but it turned out fine and satisfied with operation. Works well with my huffy rocktrail mountain bike.

Adjusting derailer isn't the simplest, but no fault of this product. Also wish it came with something i could clamp to the end of the cable after i cut it.

Cons

Instead of 3 clicks (one for each chainring) there are 6 or 7 making gear selection difficult. It takes considerable effort to get the derailer to move enough to change gears.
