Pros & Cons
Pros
Not their lightest but darn close. It's not expensive but lasts well.
Airborne seeker 29er with both spacers since the seeker in 68mm. The system is just better.
Bearings feel smooth and no odd creaks. Smooth as butter, under torque or cruising. Relate it to pedals. Spins so effortlessly.
Cons
On this the id of the nds bearing is closer to 22. After a couple of hundred km with the new bb, there is just a tiny amount of play.
Highlights
Quality
Nice quality product that was easy to install.
I have been fixing bikes through the pandemic and there are so many solid and high end cranksets that use gxp sized bottom brackets.
I used it (the spacers) on a 68mm shell and it tends to press the bearings and gets stiff, no matter what combination, if 2 spa... Read More
This is a rather disappointing showing after the original blackbox bb lasted 5 years and 16,000 miles under the same conditions.
Price
It’s a great bb for the money and it’s easy to install
You can't beat the price and delivery speed.
Yes, this is a bottom bracket and if you have to use this system it is not worth spending any more money than necessary.
)the price for this seems quite reasonable.
Shipping
Delivery time on this item was fast!
But amazon had this bb and the appropriate tool to me a couple days later, and about an hour after that i was back on the road.
Packaging/appearance
Box had all the stuff i needed to get it set up and ready to receive my new cranks.
Competitiveness
I really have no basis to compare this to other brands.
Bike already had shimano bb, won't work.
I like the design of this over some of the competitors and anticipate that it will hold up well
Bb standards seem to change too fast to invest in a more expensive product anyway.
