I have shimano drive train and the sram cassette and chain work flawlessly with the shimano parts.
Replacing the old cassette was simple with the right tool for unscrewing the retaining ring, along with a chain whip.

The price was right this time so it's sram for me.

The sram part was better than the shimano tiara cassette that came with the bike
