The ex1 drivetrain is 8speed but the ex1 chain is sized for 10speed

I anticipated a decent amount of work im mostly used to motorcylce chains with the retaining clip on one side so i got the bike to some solid ground pulled out my chain break and some other tools and prepared to work for at least a few minutes

Every time you remove it sram recommends that you replace it with a new one

Something about the chamfered slot doesn’t lock the pins anymore and the potential increases for it to come apart
