The ssk was $30 cheaper and i liked the case and lanyard loop over the t7.

I believe speeds were throttling at the 500gb halfway point as speeds dropped by half with the ssk and a couple of times with the t7

After several back and fourth transfers both drives finished around the 3 hour mark
