I am a big fan of their ergosoft pencils but the downside to them they are expensive and they are limited in their colour selection

Staedtlers website states it comes in 36 brilliant colours but it seems the 36pc set of the ergosoft is not available yet in canada which is why i have ventured outside of the ergosoft bubble and purchased their cheaper yet more comprehensive sets

I did expect these colours to be more muted than the ergosoft and other higher end pricier artist grade pencils

These are wax based and the leads are harder much harder than most even their budgetfriendly triangular series so a bit more pressure is needed to apply the colour onto your paper

However if artist paper is used the colours come out better

One very common complaint and this is common across all of staedtlers budget priced pencils is the name of the colours are not branded on them

Staedtler does list the numbers of the colours on their website but not for all sets as it appears even their own website is not updated

Only the sets of 12 and 24 of the noris club pencils 144 have a colour listing the 36 is missing in action and note the pencils themselves are not marked
