Pros
Simple, well made, solid & perfect. Easily fits into your pocket. Nothing beats these little sharpeners.
It's not flimsy, has a good weight to it and compact size. Works better than sharpeners that are much bulkier, more expensive and less sturdy.
The blades are wicked sharp and fixed at the optimum angle. Also, blades are removable for sharpening. Great for shaving.
Cons
It sharpens the core but takes chunks of wood out of the pencil. Once the wood has a gash, the core becomes unstable and breaks easily.

I am glad i bought this, it is worth the money.
I ordered this staedtler sharpener at the same time and it also was not expensive.
This is definitely overpriced for the mediocre job it does.
A little pricey for a pencil sharpener, but has held up to the abuse.

Competitiveness
Works much better than electric sharpeners and is a good deal.
It is comparable to staedtler products i remember using in the 1980's.
I have others but this one makes the pencil tips sharper then my more expensive ones.

You probably could get it to a very sharp point if you wanted to when sharpening but i don’t need it that sharp

Trouble is the cut isnt even so you have a regular point on one side and the other side barely cut at all
