Erasability
Customers have mixed feelings about the erasability of Staedtler Textsurfer Dry Highlighter Pencils. While some appreciate their versatility, comfort, and ability to be erased, others find them not practical due to their short lifespan.
Color Intensity
Customers have mixed opinions on the color intensity of Staedtler Textsurfer Dry Highlighter Pencils. While most are pleased with their ability to cover a lot of ground quickly and precisely, some have experienced issues with inconsistent line width and broken pencils upon arrival. The highlighters are praised for their effectiveness in highlighting text without smearing print or ink, making them ideal for use in books and educational settings. However, a few customers were disappointed to find that the product description was incorrect, as these are actually pencil highlighters rather than traditional liquid highlighters.
Sharpness Retention
Customers have mixed opinions on the sharpness retention of Staedtler Textsurfer Dry Highlighter Pencils. While some are pleased that they write well and last long, others find it difficult to sharpen them due to their triangular shape and larger size compared to standard pencils.
Highlights
Quality
Have since purchased a pencil sharpener that works for these pencils they have held up great
These are much easier to aim straight on the lines you want, and can be mostly erased.
With the koh-i-noor the line goes down irregularly with gloppy bits on the page and a harsher line - more of a line than a highlight.
It’s impossible to sharpen them with a pocket knife.
Price
Also, for a price tag that's north of $11, these things should be life-changing but they're not.
Packaging/appearance
The only thing i did not like is pencils being shipped in a plastic bag rather than a box.
Disappointed that the packaging was with plastic and each of the highlighting pencil got a plastic lid on.
I'm not sure if they broke a box and sold in small pack or straight counterfeit.
Competitiveness
Absolutely no contest, the staedtler highlighters are far superior.
I bought both these staedtler and the koh-i-noor dry highlighters so i could compare.
