However if you whack it or pull the sticks out at an angle it may come off it is certainly not a 34fixed34 means of attachment

Also beware that the top opening of the cups are actually a bit small while theyre fine for grabbing a replacement stick once you let one fly its not so good as a holder for putting sticks into when trying to switch quickly back and forth between handplayed percussion instruments like congas bongos or djembes and stickplayed instruments such as timbales cowbells or woodblocks

For instance i wrapped a few layers of gorilla tape around the ends of some old shortened 5b sticks that i use on a rack of cowbells and woodblocks and they barely fit in at all

Would be way better if the open top end was flared out to help guide the sticks in
