There were zero instructions though it is fairly obvious how to put it together

Only issue is there is one gasket which has no explanation however it says in the description above that it is for extra damping im assuming for the blade ends but there is only one of them and there are two ends

I put it on one end and it does help keep it from moving as you pull it away from measuring the stairs but there needs to be two of them not one

It doesnt come with any instructions or tips for use so you must search online to learn how best to use it and even then it took a few tries to learn to use it well
