Pros & Cons
Pros
Works like a champ. Worth the 15 bucks to have it around. And a few spare hours of work is not bad by any means.
Favorite use so far is to clean the machining (jointer, planer, or table saw) marks off of the edge of a board. After honing the blade razor sharp it produces some good ribbons.
This very affordable bock pane with low angle iron makes a great investment for planing end grain. The sole and body seem cleanly manufactured. Seams to be good quality.

It works if you take the time, but not worth the hassle to me. They’re pretty affordable, however this block plane is not usable.
When tightening the thimble, it walks towards the shorter of the two legs. It's only good to slightly go over the corner of a piece of wood to soften it. Buy a different plane with more adjustability.
Highlights
Quality
This is a nice quality block plane.
The sole and body seem cleanly manufactured.
Haha i bought this hoping i could make it work and have to say at blown away by the quality!
Smooth edge from the extremely sharp blade that comes with this device.
Price
Very happy, this is a great plane for an awesome price.
Great for the price with little work to be down out of the box.
So i ordered this one as it was about $5 cheaper.
Was worried it wouldn't work well since the price was so low, but this thing rocks.
Packaging/appearance
Pretty much exactly what it shows on the tin, except that mine was spraypainted red instead of that purple-ish color in the photo.
I bought it thinking that i would be receiving the same one in the photos bit the color of mine was red and not purple.
Competitiveness
That said, perhaps the 12-220 model is still a better choice.
