You will need to put hours into finessing this tool and it is still garbage compared to vintage tools
I do still use it on wood that has nails screws or rocks embedded in it
The plastic handles are uncomfortable and need to be smoothed out the sole needs significant flattening casting marks that need to be removed in the frog and even after all this work its still a bad plane
Just find a vintage plane on ebay or local classifieds and dont waste your money
