Pros

Lapping it to 120 grit fixed that easily. Took about another 10 minutes to hone the cutter. With a good honing i am sure it will cut as well as any plane out there.

It's very sturdy and well made, and seems like a nicely made tool. Construction seems rugged and decent except for the issues noted above.

Cons

This is probably the lowest quality plane i own of the 12 in my shop. Upon further inspection would not recommend. Piece of junk. Just add it to the list of complaints.

Quality

I needed to sand base and sharpen blade also wax the base and it works fine with the stanley 10.

Providing your stock is nice and straight grained, this plane makes great with the grain cuts as well.

The shape of the iron, with the tang narrow and offset, did not fit well in my eclipse style honing guide.
