Pros & Cons
Pros
The stanley mini hack saw is very compact in size and its handle feels very good in the hands -- it's perfect for small sawing jobs! This is a nice little saw that fits in tight places. Just the ticket for a non-specialized tool tote.
Cons
This is definitely for light duty cutting. The screws are only 1/8 inch thick. The saw will not cut thru them at all.

I wanted a tool that would fit in the tote that was not so large it couldnt get out of its own way and that would be effective for those times that i needed to make a quick cut in perhaps a tight spot

No fault of the blade of course if its used to cut through material it wasnt designed to

However for me most of the time ill be satisfied with a rough cut if i need a smooth cut then ill retreat to the tool box for reinforcements

The convenience of having the hacksaw in my tool tote overrides the lack of smooth cuts on some materials
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
One caveat there is no protection for the blade
