It is below the 90 line so you have to bring it back a bit to get an exact 90 degree

Ive had a few these you can bend crack indent and even break just like the rest good for a few big jobs just depends how many times you drop it and throw it in the tool box

I was initially pleased but it wasnt until fiddling around to make some cuts for diagonal supports within 90° cornered spaces in between studs ect that i realized that if you mark any angle with it on one end of the board and flip it around to mark the other end of the lumber if you mark the opposite line indicated by the tool it will always give you a life of lumber that fits between
