The stanley fatmax tape measure is a true metric tape measurer. It is a little heavy, but works well and lasts a long time. Large enough to measure room areas, tough, durable.

The 25ft fat max is the industry standard for most in the trades. Always liked the fatmax tapes for their sturdiness and durability.

I had cheap, nameless tapes perform much much better. Returned for a refund. Very dissatisfied with the overall quality.

The clip rivets open their holes up by normal use or the edges of the tape tears (razor sharp) or the spring gives up the ghost. Took it apart and couldn't figure out how to rewind it.
