Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

This is a very useful tool for remodeling or demolishing something. It's not a clean working tool, but it'll make short work of a lot of demolition tasks.

Works really well as a borad bender to straighten twisted joists. Great as a pry bar too. No problem with studs, drywall paneling or drop ceiling.

Lighter and better balanced than a sledge. Smaller hammerhead allows for pinpoint accuracy. Traditional sledgehammer with a wooden or fiberglass handle.

Don't hesitate. Just buy it. Check price changes on camel camel camel.

Very beefy, only 2 problems. Completely worth the money to keep it around. And it has. Been used every day but many days.

Cons

The ends are perfect but, it breaks in middle because the bar is not solid or not supported enough. Really needs a nail puller integrated into the hammer head.

Quality

Powerful, heavy duty, strong enough to twist 2x4’s in half.

The claw combined with the leverage provided by the long handle made easy work of prying apart boards.

The grips are torn up and the finish as scratched but this has not effected the utility of the tool.

Many pieces splintered and shattered by the torque applied.

Price

And for its size and heft, very reasonably priced.

Sadly the cheapest postage to au was $270 so it was returned.

It is a little pricey, but without a doubt does what is expected.

Once you get over the price, which is about $25 too high you will find this a very useful tool for remodeling or demolishing something.

Packaging/appearance

This thing is beautiful, the amazon picture doesn't do it justice; it's a beautiful silver gray with the black and yellow stanl...  Read More
