I suspect this is true of most hot glue guns though and might be easily avoided by unplugging the unit between rounds of use

Two minor complaints which lead to my 4 star review first the stand that folds out of the gun is extremely wobbly and i end up always just setting it on its side as the stand wont keep it upright unless its perfectly balanced

Combined with the wobbly stand the short cord leaves this glue gun unsteady
