I wanted to use it to staple fabric to wood and underlay to floorboards for which it was useless

But when visiting a homebase i saw that the one they had on display worked much better the safety swich clicked on with a much lighter press so i knew that mine was defective

The spring at top of head has to be flysgvsbd usually the whole gun needs to be resting flush
