Pros

The tools are sturdy, not cheap and handle the small stuff for a home. They come in a nice, sturdy case with the tools fitted tightly into their snap-in molded compartments. One of the few that has real slip-joint pliers.

Cons

The durability of the tools is highly questionable. The design is far from perfect. Of those only a couple or few are good for home.

I never write reviews, but this bothered me. Had to pay $10+ for returning it. Overall, dissatisfied with the product, and amazon in general. Will be returning.

Some of the tools are held very loosely in the flimsy plastic case. The blade tends to slip in and out whilst cutting cardboard boxes. We really dislike the design of the case though - the tools don't stay in their slots.

Use it all the time and quality starter tools

The tools appear to be quality made however, i would not recommend any of these tools for anything heavy-duty.

Typical stanley quality and everything an apartment/condo/1st time home buyer needs.

Price

A great value for under $60, and a great trusted brand too.

It is also a great buy for the price.

It still was a very good kit, though, for the price.

Shipping

They shipped it very fast and made it in great time .

As i write this it still says that it is scheduled to arrive in three more days.

First, the shipping was so fast; i ordered it one day, it arrived the next.

I also don’t quite see the logic in shipping a toolkit locked shut by a screw.

Competitiveness

Anyhow, another issue i had was the hammer head is a softer metal, compared to a regular hammer from the local tool store.

I ended up buying another stanley brand hammer from the local store which doesn't dent like the one from this set.

After comparing a number of kits, i couldn't find what i thought was the ultimate for this particular purpose and reasonable price.

Similar style tools to those used in my own shop.
