The dual scale, fractional, and decimal inch is perfect for inspecting parts defined in both fractional and decimal formats. Scale is 100ths and 32nds of inch for the first 6 inches the 10ths and 16ths afterwards.
Small enough to be carried in a rucksack or in a toolbox. Stanley quality and measures in tenths. Tape seems a little flimsy, but probably as good as you can get for 1/2 wide.

It is not what i wanted and not as advertised. Not worth fixing. This is very frustrating to expect one thing and receive another.

This tape measure is accurate and allows me do measure what i need quickly and easily with no math involved.
Fractions just should not be used at all, there is no good reason.

With judicious reading i should be able to get to accuracy similar to a 1mm division
