Pros & Cons
Pros
An excellent and now vital tool in my painting and decorating box. Different shapes on the end let you find perfect fit and make your job much quicker.
Cons
I order it by mistake, and although it arrived in time, i remain disappointed by the return policy. It did not work. I am very disappointed.
Highlights
Quality
Good quality and comfortable enough to hold during the task
Sturdy and sharp, which is what one needs in a shavehook.
Gave up using paint stripper, just made a sticky mess.
I bought this to replace the other stanley scraper i bought (rubber handle) that came loose the first time i used it.
Price
Overall, great value for the price i paid.
Good value for money - have used this to strip old paint off wooden doors and skirting boards.
Not important to me, but if i'd payed the rrp, i'd be wondering what i paid for vs a no band item what was probably the same.
Shipping
I hadn't realised how useful it was until it arrived.
Packaging/appearance
Only thing i could not see the maker’s name stanley which is strange as stanley always pack tools ⚒️ in packaging trade marked.
Competitiveness
But i'd not buy again, i think there are better ones out there, even if i'm a bit of a stanley 'tool tart' at heart.
I've another 'no brand' scraper with a rubbery/plastic handle, and its more comfy to use.

Just be really careful as it’s sharp and easily damages the wood if you scrape too hard

Does the job i got through about 20m of skirting and 7 door frames before the edge started to loose its sharpness but it can be sharpenedits still as sturdy as it was at the startand the top plate is still secure unlike others i tried beforethe handle is ok but for my large hands it becomes uncomfortable will long periods of usebut thats the case with most tools 😂

Wouldnt be without this handy tool at my job restoring sliding sash windows and refurbishment of old doors

The handle fixture however is less durable as the steel butt end comes loose after a short period of time and will need gluing down
