Pros & Cons
Pros
It works flawlessly every day. Instructions are easy to follow. Cleaning is easy. It took me a minute to figure out how to take it apart for cleaning.
The coffee tastes good with either the stainless filter or paper filter. Used a portable grinder to grind between medium and fine. With this brewer medium grind folgers is fine and it makes a cup in about 3-4 minutes.
Cons
It's not the fines in the cup, but it takes a long time for water to drip. It's a cheap stainless mesh which is welded to form a cylinder. This makes a very weak cup of joe with silly floaters in it. Just get yourself a stainless steel french press.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use, easy to clean, perfect coffee, can't break!
I'm obsessed with several stanley products because they solve a lot of problems and they're really durable.
Brand x: i’ve tried the same blend in a drip coffee maker, percolator, other pour overs and the verdict is….
This will also somewhat clog the filter slowing the drip, which gets me to the other common complaints i’ve read, very slow….
Price
This is an inexpensive option to make my own pour overs.
Competitiveness
Depending on the coffee, sometimes the percolator is better and other times, the stanley is better.
I use to say the same thing about my other pour over, but somehow, the stanley ended up making better coffee than my other pour... Read More

Weak coffee this can definitely happen if you pour the water too quickly

The other thing that can cause weak coffee is if you pour the water directly over the top of the filter

The capillary action will pull some of the water through before it hits the grounds

It’s best to pour the water around the outside of the filter effectively pushing the grounds towards the filter

Slow drip leading to cold coffee well there’s slow and then there’s clogged

Proper sized grounds will help to an extent but i typically let the coffee sit for a few in the boiling water then use a small spoon and clear a path against the filter to drain then pour the rest of the hot water over the grounds and again clear a path
