    The 3834 thickness will take out any irregularities in the hard ground and add some cushion but dont expect more than that

    There are other closed cell pads out there that are likely more comfortable but they are bulkier and heavier

    Ive tried some pretty comfortable selfinflating pads kelty thermarest but they are heavier and much much pricer
