The handle is great though i do wish the set came with more then one but not many sets do

When the locking tongue is secure in the pot bracket slot directly under the hook the handle is locked in place

Hold the button while doing this so that the lock does not reengage

However after reading another review post here i just checked and apparently stansport does sell extra locking handles directly from their web site
