Pros

I am a gear geek / snob so it took a bit of research before i settled on this one. I love how sturdy the top cover is. I wish it could be thinner overall.

Bought this for some family camping. Used a propane canister every other day or so to cook for a family of 6 while camping. If this stansport lasts that long i'll be even a happier camper!

The starter works awesome and the valves give you a lot of control over the flame. The only gripe i have with it is with the piezo ignitor. Self ignite is a plus.

A full griddle works well and that middle burner prevents a cold spot. It allows me to use two front pans without crowding. After the griddle reaches proper temperature you can turn off 1 or 2 of the burners to conserve gas.

Cons

After about 5 months a burner came apart, the tack weld inside separated and the burner was unusable.

Ridiculously hot burners- don’t need to be run wide open hardly ever.

Overall, very impressed for the price point.

I had considered going with a coleman for a fraction of the price, but i am glad that i did not.

Packaging/appearance

Mine did arrive slightly damaged on the cover, which is why i gave it 4 out of 5 stars, but it's minor cosmetic damage i can live with.

Bought for wedding gift and the recipients seemed thrilled.

I sent a copy of my receipt and pictures of the separated burner.

Arrived a little banged-up; one of the feet was dented in a bit and i had to put a furniture pad on it to level the stove.

Competitiveness

The heat output is far superior to my coleman 2 burner, which i've had for about 25 years.

This last characteristic is what seems to set it apart from many competitors.

I also have the camp chef 2 burner stove and the stansport 3 burner works much better with the griddle.
