One player takes on the role of the klingons and the federation as they search a new sector of space. Great game encompassing all of trekdom. Good game, feels like start trek. Picard.

The adventure unfolds in a way that is literally dripping with themes appropriate to trek. The gameplay is actually quite simple and elegant. They beg for imagination to fill them in and figure out the story going on behind the game.
Anytime a game involves the tile flipping for exploration mechanic, i'm on board. The exploration mechanic of flipping over the tiles works very well.
Cons

Quality
I can work with the thickness of the mission and command cards (even though they bend easy, and make shuffling precarious).
This is one of the best board games i own.
The ships are very cheap feeling and fragile and many of them are the same model with different names.
Components are super thin: the texture of the cards is agreeable, but the thickness is absolutely not.
Shipping
I contacted wizkids and a replacement arrived a few weeks later.
My copy had one ship broken from its base.
Packaging/appearance
The box in general fits all components perfect, but leaves almost no room for expansions without some serious work.

The ships are ok same ones as heroclix and star trek attack wing but you cant take them off the stand so painting them is a bear

The minis are also not the highest quality and i felt a little cheated with the price of the game

Also the size of the minis are a little to big for the map tiles and can get a little crowded when there is a major battle

Most of the games victory points will come from mission cards players have both revealed and secret and each player also has a deck of 40 command cards that give them a wealth of other options
