Not a dealbreaker as i bought specifically as a straight edge for scoring so will need to keep this in mind

This ruler was no exception except on one side there is a notch 34 of the way up the ruler that is either meant to be there for a reason i dont know about or it is damaged

I am torn over the material used being aluminium as opposed to mild or tool steel

On the one hand aluminium is not going to rust in my workshop and will resist decay well but on the same hand has no were near the strength of even standard mild steel so i imagine over time it will get dinged up to a point were it will no longer be useable as a straight edge ruler
