Engraving is very clear, and satin chrome finish makes it very easy to read in any light. Starrett makes fantastic product. Scale marking had worn down on the old one.

The only reason i had my old one replaced with this new one is that the scale markings had worn down on the old one to the point of being unserviceable after over twenty years of daily use

Bend it where you need to and then it flattens right back out to draw a straight line with

I was surprised that it is narrower than my older 634 starrett rule or their 1234
